Gary James Barnett, 73, passed away on June 21, 2026. Born on August 11, 1952, Gary lived a life marked by dedication, strength, and love for his family and friends. Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Margaret and Elwood Barnett. He is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia Barnett; his son, Alan Barnett and his wife, Sarah Barnett; his daughter, Amie D’Anna, her husband, Angelo D’Anna and their son, Domenico D’Anna; his sister, Barbara Lind and her husband, Lance Lind; his sister, Patricia Wallace and her husband, Vern Wallace; and his sister-in-law, Dawn Barnett, widow of his late brother, Alan Barnett. Gary proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1972 to 1975 and was stationed in Germany during his years of service. He will also be remembered for the joy he found on the golf course, where he loved spending time with friends. A graveside service will be held 12 p.m., Monday, July 13, 2026, at Westhampton Memorial Park,10000 Patterson Ave., Richmond. Gary’s life was a blessing, and his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
