Dr. John E. Chappell, IIVirginia Beach - - Dr. John Edward Chappell, II, 61, passed away September 23, 2013 at Portsmouth Naval Hospital. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Victoria Chappell; his sister, Charlotte Hott; one nephew, Hunter Parrish and two nieces, Lisa Krebs (Jim) and Sheri Szalkowski (Greg); three great-nieces, Lindsay Krebs, Marissa Szalkowski, and Ashley Rose Szalkowski, and one great-nephew, Zack Krebs, and many friends who cared for him dearly. He was a member of Virginia Beach EMS Volunteer Water Rescue Team, on the board of directors for Vetshouse, Inc., and a charter lifetime member of The Creation Museum in Cincinnati. There will be a visitation Thursday, Sept. 26 from 6 to 9 p.m. and Friday, Sept. 27 from 6 to 9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013 at 11 a.m. with a viewing before from 9 to 11 a.m. at Altmeyer Funeral Home- Maestas Chapel, 1801 Baltic Ave. Virginia Beach.
